Come be part of the excitement at this year’s Cleveland Restoration Society Community Luncheon as we welcome the Honorable Justin M. Bibb, Mayor of Cleveland at “The Green Stone Church,” East Mount Zion Baptist Church, on Euclid Avenue in the heart of the Cleveland Clinic campus.
Gathering together business and nonprofit leaders, developers, preservation experts and long-time Cleveland Restoration Society supporters for an afternoon of networking, the Community Luncheon has become an annual tradition over our 50 years.
This year’s luncheon will support and celebrate 30 years of our Heritage Home Program and its proven value of historic preservation as a neighborhood economic development tool.
Plan to arrive early for an 11 a.m. tour of the church, which was recently listed in the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural significance, artistic contribution and its association with the East Mount Zion Baptist Church congregation and their efforts to advance civil rights in Cleveland. Built between 1905-1908 in the Romanesque Revival style, East Mount Zion has been a Cleveland landmark since 1980.
Limited convenient parking is available in the lot behind the church, accessible via East 100th Street. Public parking garages are also in the area.
